Camp Warda is really the only camp that is useable at this time up in the Ennedi Plateau. It has all your basics, even an internet connection the food is very European as the owners and operators are Italian. A typical stay here is 6 Nights but this can be extended to a 10 night stay giving you more exploration options in this vast landscape. A big part of being here is taking in the incredible landscapes formed over millions of years through a range of climatic situations, but also the ancient rock art dating back thousands of years by people who no longer live here and this is all we know of them. You always have the chance of discovering rock art that was previously unknown, that is how unexplored this place is. There are some very interesting fossil beds indicating a very different environment from yesteryear. There is little in the way of wildlife but there are a few endemic species that you may see.
