Muzimu Camp - Gorongosa National Park - Mozambique

Muzimu Camp is the upmarket safari camp in Gorongosa National Park. It has all the facilities and luxuries you would expect in today's safari camps, large rooms, fans, great food and wines, swimming pool and internet. Your safari activities here include Day and Night Game Drives, Bush Walks with an armed professional guide, also at the right time of year you could also explore Lake Urema by boat and there is is a night out fly camping option designed mostly for the birders to be in the forest of Mount Gorongosa so you can enjoy that important dawn chorus and the beautiful waterfalls in that area. In Gorongosa it is all possible to do off road driving if it is needed to enhance those special sightings like following a pack of wild dog hunting. This species has done very well here so it is a good place to view them. Another excellent activity is being able to spend time with the team from the Pangolin Research and Rehabilitation who take the pangolins in the facility out into the bush to feed, a great way to see these rarely seen creatures in the wild. Access to Gorongosa is mostly by air from Beira on a light aircraft.
