Pongara Lodge is where you stay if wanting to visit the Pongara National Park, it is is not far from the capital, Libreville. A 45min boat ride gets you here with a really novel way of getting you ashore when you arrive. A key highlight of being here is watching the various species of turtles that come ashore to nest and of course 60 days later they hatch. If you are lucky you get to see both events happening at the same time - It is amazing. There is also at the right time of year Humpback Whales also move along this coastline. Wonderful forest walks and kayaking along the nearby lagoon is all part of your stay here.
